We are currently looking to recruit an IT professional on behalf of our client based in Birmingham City Centre for a 3 Month contract.
For this position you will be supporting the business with a wide range of technical duties and activities. These consisting of:
•Pro-actively maintain the effective daily operation of the organisation’s ICT facilities.
•Installation of IT hardware and software
•Plan and supervise the implementation of IT projects including installation and upgrading of hardware and software, including Blackberry support.
•Deliver training as and when required
•Ensure regular review of security aspects of IT facilities
•Provide both remote and on site support to multiple users

You will have substantial knowledge of the following:

•VISTA
•Windows server 2008
•active directory
•clustering
•File & print severs
•MS Exchange 2007 or 2009
•MS SQL 2008
•IIS 7.0
•MS System Centre
•MS Sharepoint
•Remote management tools.
•Networking experience including – supporting a CISCO self-defending network comprising: switches, security (inc firewalls, RADIUS, TACACS),wireless LAN, WAN’s, routers, IP telephony, video, network management.


For this position the successful candidate will have previous experience working within a similar environment. It is preferable that the candidate has Prince 2 or proven evidence of project management. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be providing support both face to face and over the telephone, You will also be a proactive decision maker.
