Overall job purpose is to design, develop and expand the Core Network infrastructure, upon which all company services at various sites operate, to effectively handle current and anticipated customer flow. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTs: A Degree in Technical subject (e.g. Computer Engineering/ Software Engineering/ Computer Systems Design or similar AND at least 2 years contributory experience in similar role with an ISP. A level of Technical knowledge in the following areas:BGP; OSPF; VLANs which enables the jobholder to have an underlying understanding of the fundamental protocols involved Able to analyse problems; issues& needs and provide robust but adaptable solutions which meet current and future requirements. Ability to cope with changing environment - including adapting to meet emergency business-critical events. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENT: Effectively implemented networks using Redback; Juniper and/or Foundry. Real world experience of L2TP and/or MPLS
